Jardin Majorelle YSL, Marrakech.

Photos taken at a twelve-acre botanical garden and artist's landscape garden in Marrakech, Morocco. It took French painter, Jacques Majorelle, 40 years to create (1886-1962). The garden has been open to the public since 1947. The garden has been owned by Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé since 1980. After Yves Saint Laurent died in 2008 his ashes were scattered in the Majorelle Garden. The colour Majorelle Blue is a trademark of Jacque Majorelle. It's unique in that it's clear, fresh but intense . Imitations would be laughable but inspiration is inevitable.
